PRESS RELEASE: IEST Announces Its Inaugural Online Mentoring Series

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL (July 21, 2016) – IEST, a leading association for professionals in the fields of Contamination Control/Cleanrooms, Environmental and Reliability Testing, and Nanotechnology Facilities, announces its inaugural online mentoring series. The IEST Members-Only Mentoring Program, starting July 27, is a training series designed to provide professionals with the basic career-enhancing information that would be learned through traditional one-on-one mentor relationships, which are often hard to find.

Essential Advice for the Technical Professional, available to IEST Members at iest.org starting July 28, will kick off this webinar series. John Weaver, Strategic Facilities Officer at Birck Nanotechnology Center and 2015 IEST Al Lieberman Mentoring Award recipient, will pass on the core advice and guidance that he has shared with dozens of mentees throughout his career.

In 5 Steps to Transformation, you will learn the critical steps IEST Member David Sgro used to rapidly gain knowledge, become more confident, and progress his career. Sgro’s swift professional development and career growth is often talked about within the IEST community, and in this webinar he will share five repeatable steps for transformation. This presentation will be available to IEST Members starting August 17.

IEST Immediate Past President Shawn Windley has reached several lofty career accomplishments at a relatively young age (e.g. He is the youngest IEST President in the organization’s history). Windley acknowledges the essential role his mentor played in his career growth, and by attending Successful Mentee, Amazing Results (available September 27), you will discover how to be a successful mentee, too.

Each webinar will provide unique guidance and perspective. All sessions start with a 30–45 minute presentation, and are followed by Q&A. Videos will be available through Expert Hub in the IEST Members-only web portal.
