PRESS RELEASE: A New Year, a New IEST Executive Board

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL (July 1, 2016) —The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST), a world-leading association for professionals in the fields of Contamination Control/Cleanrooms, Environmental Test, and Nanotechnology Facilities, begins its 2016-17 fiscal year with a newly elected Executive Board dedicated to furthering IEST’s non-profit mission of expanding and disseminating preeminent technical knowledge.

Wei Sun begins his term as IEST President, while Shawn Windley of AAF Flanders steps down after his productive year in the role and continues his service in the office of Immediate Past President.

Wei Sun, CEO/President of Engsysco, Inc., is an active member of the IEST Executive Board, serving as Technical Vice President of the Contamination Control Division (CC) and most recently as President-elect. Sun also serves as the chair of the CC012 Working Group: Consideration in Cleanroom Design. He believes, “The most important goal for IEST is to encourage more participation.”

Ahmad Soueid of HDR Architecture, Inc., takes on the role of President-elect. John Weaver of Birck Nanotechnology Center at Purdue University returns to the Board as the Vice President of Planning. Morgan Polen of particleMP.com and Jennifer Galvin of DuPont Protection Technologies join the Board for the first time in the roles of Membership Vice President and Education Vice President (CC), respectively.

Officers remaining in their positions are David Sgro of FLIR Systems as Technical Vice President of the Design, Test, and Evaluation and Product Reliability Division (DTE/PR), Ken Stultz of UniClean Cleanroom Services as Fiscal Vice President, Gordon Ely of MiMedx Group, Inc., as Technical Vice President (CC), Nick Clickinbeard of Rockwell Collins as Education Vice President (DTE/PR), and Roberta Burrows of IEST as Executive Director.

Commenting on members who are leaving the Executive Board after the 2015-16 term, IEST Executive Director Roberta Burrows says, “With gratitude the IEST community thanks Roger Diener, Rick Meyer, Nathaniel Terry for their productive service.”
